Martin's Biscotti are produced in small batches by hand. We use only the finest ingredients without additives or preservatives. These delectable Tuscan style cookies are available in five completely unique flavors, Almond and Saffron, Pistachio and Tart Cherry, Hazelnut and Cacao Nib, Coconut and Curry and Oaxacan Mole Pipián.
Martin's Biscotti recipe dates from the Renaissance. While they are incredibly shelf stable we only bake what is needed to fill our orders as needed to insure freshness and crispness. Once the dough is ready it is rolled into loaves, finished with egg wash and sprinkled with raw sugar. After the first baking the loaves are allowed to cool before they are hand sliced diagonally, and returned into the oven for a second baking. The results are a dry and crispy artisan biscotti without the hard texture of some recipes. Traditional almond Biscotti di Prato are very dry and hard for the purpose of dipping into Vin Santo or expresso.
